Please note that on Tuesday 17th May I will be asking that, instead of payment, that donations are made to Child Rescue Nepal. This is a charity that specialises in helping children who have been trafficked, allowing them a chance to have an education and a safe, fulfilling life.
Do you know any students in Year 11 who need to build up their English Language skills before the final exams in May and June?
If yes, the small group sessions that I run on zoom will really help. They are designed to allow Year 11 students to absolutely excel at the English Language GCSE next year. Groups are small and focused with full, detailed notes emailed over at the end of the lesson.
The questions on the two papers require different approaches. The students will learn the best ways to tackle these questions in the lessons and then complete tasks to allow them to consolidate the skills that they have learnt.
Classes are small to enable discussion and individual attention.

Please note that I am fully booked for 121 tuition until June 2022.
121 lessons are completely tailored to suit your child’s individual needs. We can work together to build on your child’s strengths and target any weak areas.
The price per lesson is £55. This covers a one hour lesson and also the time that I take to mark homework in between lessons.

Tuition for Year 10
Weekly group lessons for year 10 students begin in September 2022. Places fill up fast so please do get in touch to reserve a place.
About Janet Oliver
I am a fully qualified and experienced English teacher who trained at the University of Cambridge and currently works at a local comprehensive school on the north London/Essex borders. Over the last twenty years, I have worked in state, private and international schools, forging good relationships with my students and instilling in them a love for English language and literature.
I am a highly experienced senior examiner in both GCSE English literature and language and have marked tens of thousands of scripts over the last twenty years.
